Biological Pillar
In the First scene Moana's grandmother is telling a group of kids a story on the island they are living on . She's giving them another point of viewing from it but they are supposed to keep that from them. This connects to psychology because its a away of teaching them a beliefand that could impact their behavior .
Cognition Pillar
Maui uses a song for say your welcome to Moana and the people from her island. He shared his part of the legend that was being told on the island. Maui uses the song for storytelling and to share his memories from what he did.
Life Span Development and Learning Pillar
She grew up being taught that she must only stay on the island because the ocean was dangerous. This left her with the curiosity . This connects to psychology because its like a boarder keeping her from seeing the truth because of what she was taught and she's not aware of actually why they are doing this .
Social and Personality Pillar
Moana is the daughter of the chief so she gets respect everyone takes orders from her but she also gets along with everyone .This fits into this pillar because as much as she's being told no to go past the reef she is still trying to influence everyone but because they aren't letting her she goes on and does it herself with the inspiration of her grandmother and the support of her mother.
Mental and Physical Health
The chief is hurt because he lost his friend going past the reef. Now he's trying to protect his daughter from that trauma that he has gone through. This is a form of protection , he cares enough to prevent her from going through the same. This could give him anxiety which makes him overthink .
